The Montana Meth Project: Paint the State 2006
Paint the State 2006 was the largest public art contest in history.
The Montana Meth Project called on the teens of Montana to take action in the fight against Meth abuse by creating highly
visible public art with a strong anti-Meth message.
The 2006 contest created a groundswell of action throughout the state of Montana. With help from family and friends,
teens from all 56 counties created more than 660 works of art ranging from paintings, sculptures, and murals, to
photography and video.
Highlights from the Paint the State 2006 contest are assembled in a colorful and thought-provoking book.
The 56-page book captures the spirit of the project with more than 100 images of artwork and color photos
of inspired teens in action. Commentary from artists and others touched by the Project exhibit the
extraordinary reach and impact of Paint the State 2006.
